Spring Break

Spring Break! Wow it was wild and crazy that's for sure! Okay... not really. I went home and spent time with my wonderful family. I went to the pool with the nephews and had a blast with them! They are the cutest kids in the world! We had a blast and I miss them terribly! We also taught the lil' man how to say no no clap and wave. It is hilarious to watch this lil' guy grow up. I really enjoyed being home with all the family it went really well and I have enjoyed being with them. I can't wait to go home for Easter and see all these lil guys again!

I like the fact that he hits my dad after we laugh at him....

The "NEW" love of my life....

K, so I have a new love... yes I know it might come to a shock to many of you. Since I haven't told hardly anyone and only a select few have seen the love connection in action. He's definitely quite the charmer, and when he says my name is just melts my heart. I don't know how he does it but he sure has me wrapped around his little finger. He is shorter than me (no one's perfect), he has dark hair, buzzed right now, but it's super cute on him. He's got a laugh and a smile to die for and hug that just melts your heart away. He has these super big brown eyes (at times I would say he's full of "crap") hahaha, I bet your all wondering well who could this wonderful boy be? Well did I mention he is not quite yet two? Yep that's right it's Mr. Gideon Rasmussen! Today I was visiting their house and when I walk in he's the first to greet me at the door with "HAWEE" as he throws his tiny little arms around my legs and giggles and laughs with his arms up till I pick him up. The kicker here is when I was leaving and I said I am going so give me a hug cause you'll be gone for a few days and he replied, "No!" I said, "Bud I have to go swimming." "Take me?" "I can't, you need some sleep so you can go see Grandma and Grandpa." He then got his little pout-pout fish face on and said, "NO!" So I said, "Dont' worry you'll come back and see me." This in turn made him smile and say "YEAH!" I put him down and proceeded to tell all the others good-bye. In the meantime he was asking mom, "We take baby?" "yes we are taking Ashlee..." "We take Hawee?" "No, Halee has school." He then began to cry and pout-pout fish face was starting to become permanent. She then said,"We are only going to be gone for a few days and then we will come back and see Halee okay?" He jerked up happily and said,"YEAH OKAY!" I don't care who you are but that right there makes any grey day become sunny again!
I also was talking to my mom about one of my best friends. She is nominated for an awesome basketball award and I was telling my mom I was so impressed with how she was accomplishing so many things for basketball and sports in general. My mother than said Halee, the other day she told me, "I know Halee wishes she could do these things and I know I've accomplished a lot with athletics (which she is right, she wasn't being boostful at all, I would love be able to have a shot like hers, the confidence would mesmorize anyone cause it's not cockiness) but there isn't a day that goes by that I wouldn't trade her for her life. She has a great family, her parents are still together and her family is going to be together for forever. I would give anything to have that. She has a boyfriend who is serving the Lord and doing the right things, and she is doing great things with her education....." Isn't it funny how the things we wish for the most from someone else, they're willing to give up for something you have? We don't really truly realize how precious things are until they are gone.... don't let it get there. Love who you are, who you are with, and where you are going all these things can change just as easily as the direction of a breeze. Lol, sometimes I need to be reminded of what's most important in life...
